Ten Solomon Islanders, who travelled to Australia at the end of May, received training on Work, Health, and Safety (WHS) measures for the Australian construction industry as part of a partnership between the Australia Pacific Training Coalition (APTC) and the Labour Mobility Unit supported by the Pacific Labour Facility (PLF) in the Solomon Islands.

Twenty-one students have the opportunity to gain valuable plumbing skills after the Vanuatu Qualifications Authority (VQA)-accredited Certificate II in Plumbing course was launched earlier this month on Ambae Island, Penama province in Vanuatu.

It's been an incredible journey of adaptation and self-discipline for APTC's Nauruan students of 2020, who have had to handle new remote learning practices whilst dealing with COVID-induced changes at home. ​
