APPLYING FOR AN APTC COURSE

Congratulations on choosing to expand your knowledge and skills by studying with APTC.  We’ve made this application process as easy as possible so you can start preparing for your new study adventure sooner. 

Before starting, read this important information about applying for an APTC course. Note you must have a valid email address to apply online.

 

1. Pre-eligibility Check

Check you meet the eligibility requirements for your chosen course, and whether you may be eligible for any financial assistance.

 

2. Required Documents

Gather all your required documents together. If applying online you can add electronic copies. 

 

3. Apply

Click Apply Online to complete an online application form. You will need a valid email address to register for an account first. You will also need continuous access to the internet to complete the online application (but can stop and save at any time). For other application options you can download and complete the PDF form on your computer (and email it it us), or print the PDF form and complete by hand (and mail or hand it to an APTC Country Office.  Note that incomplete applications with no updates/changes for 12 weeks will be deleted.

4. LLN and VKA Assessment

To check you have the necessary skills and knowledge to successfully complete your course, APTC will contact you to arrange a time to complete the:
• English Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment, and
• Vocational Knowledge Assessment (VKA) industry knowledge and skills check.  

 

5. Eligibility Confirmation

APTC will check your eligibility. Once confirmed, we will add you to the list of applicants eligible for a place in a course. If you are deemed ineligible, APTC will advise you in writing.

 

6. Offer of a Place

If your name is selected from the list of eligible applicants, you will be sent a Letter of Offer with information about course dates and location, as well as fees and/or any financial assistance (if applicable). Once you accept the offer, we will be in touch to finalise any necessary arrangements to get you ready to start your course.

 

7. Orientation and Verification

Attend the APTC Orientation where we will give you the information you need for a successful start! Bring your Proof of ID as well as Proof of Name Change (if applicable) so we can verify your identity.
