 CPC20120 CERTIFICATE II IN CONSTRUCTION

Course Overview

The Certificate II in Construction (CPC20120) provides an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to the majority of construction work sites.

The qualification has core units of competency that are required in many Certificate III qualifications. The elective options are structured to allow choice from a range of units aligned at Certificate III level and in total could provide meaningful credit in a construction industry.

 Possible career opportunities for graduates include: Builders labourer and Trade Assistant.

Course Delivery

Location: Samoa, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea

Duration: Course duration is 18 weeks full time including a one-week mid-semester break. Students will attend classes for a minimum of 5 days per week. Additional out-of-hours study time will be required.

Delivery Mode: Training will be delivered face to face and in English and incorporates language, literacy, and numeracy (LLN) support. APTC is committed to help students reach their goals by providing support and services such as additional tutorials, LLN support and counselling.

Course Fees: WST 2,200 / SBD 4,500 / PGK 4,000. The fee includes personal protective equipment, stationery and uniform. View current fees.

Entry Requirements

  • Citizen of a Pacific Island Forum country
  • Successfully complete the Language, Literacy and Numeracy Assessment and be interested in a career in the construction industry

Applicants may apply for recognition of prior learning.
