Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Mr Rajendra Singh (MF) has been actively involved in the development of the local education sector through his role as the Coordinator of Continuing and Community Education (CCE) at The University of the South Pacific’s Lautoka Campus in Fiji.
Mr Singh graduated from APTC with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment in 2013.
“The training has helped me greatly. It has given me insight into training packages, delivery and assessment. I can now confidently package courses into programs to meet client needs.”
“I recently returned from Nauru, where I assisted my counterpart in this area. We had a number of consultations and will be delivering tailor-made soft skills programs to agencies currently engaging locals in various projects and programs,” he added.
In 2014, Mr Singh was awarded the Member of the Order of Fiji in recognition of his service and contribution to the Fiji education system. The Order of Fiji is the highest honour of the Fijian honours system.
He said the award has boosted his morale and he looks forward to continuing to contribute to education.
In other accomplishments, Mr Singh has published the ‘Primary Education in Fiji: A Guide for Effective Leadership’, which was based on research in 128 schools in the Western Division.
The publication provides guidance to primary school teachers to help them translate the curriculum into learning experiences that enable students to achieve quality learning outcomes.
Mr Singh acknowledges his wife Kamini Singh for her support and strongly believes that “hard work is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration”.
